Theme: «Choosing a career. Plans for the future»
Мета : удосконалювати володіння лексичним матеріалом за темою уроку;
розвивати діалогічне та монологічне мовлення ; навички
аудіювання ;
удосконалення техніки читання, практикувати навички
говоріння та письма.
розширювати соціокультурну
компетенцію учнів , їх кругозір ,
виявляти покликання та якість особистості , необхідні для
професії;
розвивати мовну догадку, уміння
логічного викладу думок, культуру спілкування у запропонованій ситуації,
ерудицію учнів. Сприяти розвитку вміння визначати професійні якості
особистості. Намагатись прищеплювати любов до праці, сприяти вихованню розуміння
в учнів важливості і необхідності реалізації своїх умінь і здібностей через
обрану професію.
Розширювати кругозір, виховувати любов до знань та
бажання дізнаватися більше нового, допомогати
зрозуміти важливість кожної професії ; виховувати інтерес до культури
англійського народу.
Обладнання :підручник ,ноутбук, аудіокасета з текстом,наглядний матеріал,
роздатковий матеріал.

2.Повідомлення теми та мети уроку
T:I'd like to start our lesson with this saying :”If
you do not think about the future, you
will not have one”( John Galsworthy ) It
will be a kind of a motto of our today's
lesson. Let
us remember the words , touching the profession and draw a Mind Map. Now …come up to the
blackboard and write all the professions you know and other pupils write the
words on these sheets of paper and then we compare , maybe you add smth.

T: So pupils ,as you have already guessed the topic of
our lesson “Choosing a profession. Plans for the future.” We shall continue to
speak about jobs and professions , you will read your own opinion about your future profession , discuss some questions concerning your future plans ,by the end of the lesson
you should be able to operate the words for the topic , to participate in
conversational exchange.

Teacher: There are a lot of classifications of professions. We'll classify them in 6 groups. Pupils listen to the definitions of each group and think over about the examples of professions:

Clerical - the jobs are done in offices and deal with people or simple office machinery.
Scientific - the jobs that need a background of interest in one sort of science.
Practical - the biggest group of all, it depends on skills other than those needed in exams.
Outdoor - these jobs are easier to find in the country than in the town.
Creative - these jobs need flair, skill and lots of luck.
Social jobs - are ones where you help other people.
